Kommunalbanken Seminar

The President and CEO of Kommunalbanken, Mr. Peter Skouen, returned to Tokyo to give a presentation of the Bank’s position and operations to representatives of Japanese banks, shareholder institutions and others at a well-attended seminar in the Embassy’s Arctic Hall on 24 January.
Triple-A rated Kommunalbanken is owned entirely by the Norwegian state and the local government sector. It has long-standing co-operation with Japanese partners takes up loans in Japan to provide low-cost funding to Norwegian municipalities and thus facilitates public sector services in Norway’s welfare state. Discussions continued and contacts were strengthened also at a reception hosted by Ambassador Walther following the seminar.
