New Year’s Greeting from the Ambassador
The year 2011 will be remembered as a year of national sorrow in both Norway and Japan. An unprecedented natural catastrophe in Japan, evil terrorist acts by a human-being in Norway. We will carry “kisuna” with us into the New Year both in Japan and Norway as well as between our two countries. Our Team-Norway effort to support recovery in Japan will continue focusing on fisheries, seafood safety, coastal development, renewable energy and environment technology. The Embassy is looking forward to a busy year in strengthening the close relationship between our two countries and the warm ties among Norwegians and Japanese. We hope you will follow our activity in the monthly newsletter and on our home page. (Full text New Year’s greeting from Ambassador Walther )
